COVID-19 Update July 2021
To our cherished clients and fellow animal lovers, the veterinarians and support team at Greenboro Veterinary Clinic thank you for your continued support, trust and patience during our efforts to serve you and care for your beloved pets during the past trying months of the COVID 19 pandemic. Since early 2020, we have been working tirelessly to offer the standard of care you had come to expect from us when times “were easier”. Telemedicine veterinary consults, contactless payment methods for curb-side orders and delivering patient care from behind locked doors has proven to be a challenge and it required trust, understanding and a level of compassion from each of you.
As our province begins to reopen following the successful vaccination of millions of fellow Ontarians, we are as excited as you are to be able to eventually return to some form of “normal”. Please be patient as we continue to try to serve everyone of you while continuing to protect the safety of our staff and all of our clients as we move through the steps. We ask you to understand that our ability to reopen will be influenced by factors other than what is happening elsewhere. As long as COVID safety precautions are legally required for indoor spaces, staff will continue to need our current workplace layout. The exam rooms have been converted to office space to allow our team to stay socially distant while completing the important administrative tasks which accompany the physical care of our patients and to have a safe space for lunch. Before we can reopen, furniture, computers and wiring need to be relocated. With the intention of minimizing disruption of patient care during the busiest time of year in our industry, these tasks must be reserved for a later time. As long as masks, social distancing and other measures are required by the province, we will not be able to open our doors without violating laws in place to protect the safety of all, including individuals of our team who are immune-compromised. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, there will be special circumstances wherein we will invite a limited number of people inside the building to be with their pets and this is determined by the management and the veterinarian in charge of those cases.
We ask for your continued understanding and cooperation as we move forward with striving to serve you and your pets with caring and professionalism. We too look forward to a return of the good’ol days where we can chat in the waiting room together and share face-to-face conversations with you in our exam rooms during vet visits with your fur family. Stay safe everyone…we are almost there!
Sincerely,
The Greenboro Veterinary Team
