Vaccines for Puppies & Dogs

Vaccines are an effective way to protect your canine companion against harmful diseases.

Vaccinations support your puppy or dog’s immunity against a range of harmful but preventable diseases. Some vaccination provides full protection if your puppy or dog ever comes in contact with the disease whereas others other limit the severity of symptoms they’ll experience. What is a vaccination plan?

A vaccination plan is developed to protect your puppy or dog against the diseases that pose the biggest risk to their health. They typically include core and non-core vaccinations. Core vaccinations are essential for safeguarding your puppy or dog against the diseases they’re most susceptible to. Non-core vaccination is based on their lifestyle. For example, you could vaccinate your puppy or dog against Lyme disease if you live or frequent an area with lots of woodlands or areas with a high rate of infection.

Which vaccinations does my dog or puppy need?

Once you’ve scheduled a veterinary exam, we’ll discuss your puppy or dog’s vaccination plan. Vaccination plans not only include the list of vaccinations that we recommend but also the schedule we’ll be following to administer them. When your puppy or dog misses a dosage, it limits their immunity against specific diseases. Consistent vaccinations ensure your puppy or dog continues to be protected against potentially harmful diseases. We can vaccinate against:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper
  • Parvovirus
  • Canine hepatitis
  • Bordetella
  • Lyme disease
  • Leptospirosis
