Katie Jones

Born and raised in Ottawa South, Katie has always had a passion for helping others. Although initially planning on becoming a police officer, Katie decided to take a different career path and obtained her degree in psychology in 2008. It wasn't long before her passion for animals had her going back to school for her veterinary assistant certification in 2014.

Although she loves all creatures, she has a soft spot for our feline friends. She enjoys working with grumpy kitties and winning over their trust by the end of the appointment. She has two black and white "tuxedo" cats at home named Eddie and Meeko (or as she calls them SpagEddie and Meekballs).

When not in clinic, she enjoys baking, biking, camping and gardening. She is excited to join the GVC family and is really looking forward to meeting our amazing four-legged clients!
